This shoe is apart of the Kerckhaert Steel race family, as the demand rose from owners, trainers and farriers around the world to improve the performance of the the many types of racing around the world.

Steel Extra sound is a drop forged, lightweight shoe, it is made with the highest quality steel which makes it easy to shape and fit. It is designed with sole relief.

Kerckhaert have raised the bar for the hind shoe, designing a left/right pattern shoe. The longer and wider outside provides the cover and support while the tapered inside allows the farrier to fit the shoe and reduce the risk of lost shoes and brushing.
